Porters spill the beans for charityPosted: 25 September 2009
The team laid on the spread as part of The World's Biggest Coffee Morning, an annual fundraising event organised in conjunction with Macmillan Cancer Support to help people affected by cancer. The porters' coffee morning was one of hundreds that took place across the country and around the world, all aiming to collect as much money as possible for the cause. Peter Wooding (far right), a porter at The Belvedere and responsible for organising the coffee morning, said: "It was lovely to see so many people out in support. We asked for small donations in return for a cup of coffee and slice of cake, and were also delighted with the response from local businesses who donated some fantastic prizes for our raffle and competitions. We're hoping to have raised a really good amount of money for Macmillan Cancer Support." Amongst the businesses offering prizes were Elaje Hair & Beauty, who donated a voucher for their Homerton Street salon, letting agency Accent Property and Giant Cycles. |

Friday 25th September saw Encore Estate Management's team of porters at The Belvedere in Cambridge serve up coffee and cakes in aid of charity.
