Encore staff have good reason to celebrate after the company secured three major accolades at the 2018 Property Management Awards by winning Regional Property Management Company of the Year and picking up two highly commended trophies for New Build Property Management Company of the Year and the Customer Service Award.
Organised by News on the Block - the trade publication which provides help and advice to flat owners - the awards were presented at a glittering "Christmas in New York" themed gala dinner at Finsbury Square in London. Around 900 people from across the industry attended the event on 23 November - making it the biggest one yet.
Winners are decided by a panel of independent industry experts who between them have many years’ experience of the property management sector. The judging panel this year comprised Mike Basquill, MRICS MRTPI UK Residential Associate Director, RICS; Richard Berridge, Director, MLH Investments; Andrew Bulmer, CEO, Institute of Residential Property Management; Ruth Campbell, The Ruth Campbell Partnership; Ian Fletcher, Director of Policy (Real Estate), British Property Federation; Noella Lee FIRPM, AssocRICS, COO, ARMA and Bob Smytherman, Chairman, FPRA (Federation of Private Residents’ Associations).
The awards seek to recognise the hard work and high levels of performance of companies and individuals from right across the industry, from legal service providers to recruitment. Encore was also shortlisted for Employer of the Year and Best Managing Agent of an RMC/RTM Block – making it the only managing agent to reach the finals in five company categories.
Encore founders Neil Robinson and Stephen Chard commented, "Encore began almost fifteen years ago when as leaseholders fed up with poor customer service from the property management industry we decided to do something about it.
Today, that company has a team of around 250 who share the challenges of the industry and work together to deliver exceptional service to our many customers. We are extremely proud to see Encore’s achievements recognised at such an important event which brings together the very best managing agents in the UK.”
