  • Encore wins Employer of the Year at The Negotiator Awards 2018

Just a week after securing the highly sought-after Regional Property Management Company of the Year trophy at the 2018 Property Management Awards, Encore staff are celebrating once again having picked up two further accolades in the Employer of the Year and Property Management Company of the Year categories at The Negotiator Awards.

Receiving the Gold award for Employer of the Year for the second time – having won the same accolade in 2016 - and Silver for Property Management Company of the Year marks the end of a fantastic year of achievement for the company. Winning a Property Management Agent of the Year award in the Midlands in June for the second year in a row, Encore went on to be Highly Commended at the 2018 ARMA Awards and collected three honours at the NOTB Property Management Awards.

The Negotiator Award trophies were presented by comedian Julian Clary - resplendent in bright pink suit - at a superb art-deco themed gala dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London attended by around 900 property professionals. The Negotiator Awards is a truly national award scheme which recognises the achievements of agencies and industry suppliers across the whole of the UK and is well established in the property calendar having been running for 11 years.

The independent judging panel brought together experts from across the residential property sector and included Peter Bolton King, Global Standards Director for RICS; Dr Nigel Glenn, CEO of ARMA; Iain McKenzie, CEO of The Guild of Property Professionals; Michael Stoop, The Property Ombudsman and John Hards, Lettings Director of Countrywide. Referring to Encore's submission for the Employer of the Year category, the judges said it was “a comprehensive entry that clearly shows why employees like to work there. Concerns raised in a staff survey were considered and actioned and the main reason for working there is ‘the people’“.

"It is sometimes the small things that make a difference when it comes to happy employees."

Commenting on the win, Encore founding directors Neil Robinson and Stephen Chard said: “This is the second time in three years that Encore has won the Gold award for Employer of the Year, and we consider it a fantastic achievement given the very strong competition in this category from sixteen other shortlisted companies.

We are delighted that the independent judging panel have once again recognised the tremendous investment that we make into the staff of Encore - both financially and with time and energy – in order to create a positive, structured and highly rewarding work environment."
